This documentary was produced in 1995 as a companion to the book Proudly We Served and has appeared on PBS affiliates throughout the United States ever since.

It interweaves the personal stories of individual crewmembers with archival footage of the ship and crew produced by the Navy and discovered during research for the book.

Produced for VHS only, it is currently out of print.
